D & D Design has both residential and commercial experience, but today they focus almost exclusively on residential projects. Joe and Katie enjoy working face-to-face with their clients to provide the best client experience possible. An experience that they have found is not available in the larger commercial firms. They know that their clients like to know their designer will be available to answer the phone or are able to meet them in person on short notice if necessary. Many of the contractors they work with value having someone readily available for quick responses, grabbing prints on the go, or clarifying material lists.
D & D Design is also equipped to help you with your design dreams electronically/remotely if preferred or if you are not local to South Louisiana. They offer both custom and stock home plan options. They look forward to hearing from you soon.
Joseph Day
I am a custom home design professional. I graduated from The LSU School of Architecture in 1989. After graduating and settling in Southeast Louisiana, I spent a few years working for larger firms before deciding to start D & D Design. I have been in business for over 20 years and have helped thousands of clients realize their home design dreams. I pride myself on getting to know each of our partners and clients personally and our relationships often continue long after the project has been completed. It is our goal to provide a professional and courteous atmosphere for all of our partners and clients.
Katie Hoover
I am Joseph’s eldest daughter and also a home design professional. I joined the family business after my college graduation about 15 years ago. I am truly lucky enough to have learned from the best! Our family atmosphere also extends to our clients and partners. Like my father, I also pride myself on building long-term relationships. While we may be a small, two-person team, that doesn’t stop us from outworking the competition.
